Who we are

We're invideo AI, rethinking how video gets created and edited from first principles. We're the fastest-growing AI startup in this part of the world, and we're hiring the first engineers of their generation — people who'll do the best work of their lives here.

The role

This is an SDE-1 role, and we'll be blunt about what we're looking for: we don't care what language you write, what framework you've memorised, or what's on your résumé. We care about one thing — how good you actually are.

You're the kind of person who was the best programmer in most rooms you've been in, and it wasn't close. You write code for fun and it shows. You pick up new stacks in a weekend because the stack was never the point. You've built things nobody asked you to build, just to see if you could.

If that's you, the language is a detail. We write Elixir, Rust, and TypeScript here — sometimes all three in a day — and we'll trust you to master whatever the problem needs. Zero to two years of experience; fresh out of college is completely fine. Raw ability beats a title every time.

What you'll do

• Work alongside the founding engineering team on invideo AI
• Craft high-performance, multi-player, multi-platform video editing experiences
• Help build and productize a general creative AI agent
• Develop both your engineering and product instincts, fast

What we're actually looking for

• Exceptional raw problem-solving ability — this is the whole thing
• Fluency in at least one language, and the appetite to become fluent in several
• A hacker mindset and a real hunger to push boundaries
• Something you've built that you're proud of (side projects, open source, competitive programming, a weird thing you made at 2am — all count)
• A genuine belief that generative AI can make creative work better
• Comfort with ambiguity and fast-paced environments

Nice-to-haves (genuinely optional)

• CS fundamentals, linear algebra, low-level/OS knowledge
• Graphics, video processing, or AI/ML systems experience
• Open-source contributions or a strong competitive-programming record
